The Florida Keys has always been a tourist destination that seamlessly integrates its personable local patrons with visitors from many lands. It is the rare vacation spot that combines the wonderful characteristics of South Florida: the most beautiful surroundings with the happiest of people. The Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle effortlessly combines those qualities into one impressive destination.
After completing a recent 11 million dollar renovation, The Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle announced itself boldly. What is appreciated is that the hotel and their associates does not take itself too seriously, making the guests comfortable immediately upon arrival. There will be moment when the mind will object to ever leaving, during your stay and beyond. To that point, the front desk staff is animated and friendly. One example is Tony, always making the extra effort to ensure the guest is satisfied before an initial request is made.
As the adjoining pictures can attest, the view from the main resort building brings the Atlantic Ocean to life from whichever floor your room resides. The Postcard Inn retains 16 different room types for every type of traveler. Room amenities are both anticipated (iron, coffee maker, hair dryer) and pleasantly surprising (plasma TVs, WIFI access) for a Keys destination. The new Simmons Beauty Rest bedding was especially appreciated and present in many room options), almost too comfortable for a spacious and lively destination as this. Bathroom space was rustic, more typical of the locale selected.
The annoyance of a seagull is your worst concern with your feet firmly enveloped in the sand. The picturesque weather of South Florida only enhances this destination’s ability to make one feel comfortable. The landscaping is tropically lush, manicured tastefully as to fulfill the etching of a postcard photograph. When on the beach, the associates continually monitor the grounds, adjusting the sand so each photographic memory is unerring.
From walking down the reinvented boardwalk to the beach and pool area, there was a peaceful cleanliness not always experienced in a hotel public area. The heated main pool especially draws attention for being Oceanside, expansive, and flexible to those seeking both color and calm. If fortunate to make Kim’s acquaintance, the treatment will be exemplary. The sense of a secure environment is apparent yet never overbearing.
With five restaurant/bars, including the new Shula Burger, guests will appreciate both the quality of offering and it’s pricing. More information about Shula Burger is readily available here (http://www.examiner.com/travel-in-miami/shula-burger-key-to-postcard-inn-success).
Kelly and Drew at the Holiday Isle Dive Shop (www.diveholidayisle) are the perfect representatives of what Postcard Inn wants to represent to it’s guests: a knowledgeable professional who ensures each customer is satisfied. Amenities such as Jet Skiing, Boat Charters and Kayaking are available as well as Snorkeling, with pricing available via the link enclosed.
Located prominently off Mile Marker 84 in the Florida Keys, the Postcard Inn is a standout destination whose history and newness is only exceeded by the comfort one feels from arrival to departure.
